Welcome to Normal Heights
Just north of Balboa Park and sandwiched between Kensington to the east and University Heights to the west, you'll find a funky, diverse and eclectic little neighborhood rich in diversity, is sometimes rowdy and has a unique identity amongst San Diego neighborhoods. Locals have lovingly given Normal Heights a nickname: Abnormal Heights. It embraces the feel of this San Diego neighborhood, the visitor in search of a collection of particular restaurants, bars, and shops and families looking to settle in a safe, secure area with access to great schools. This neighborhood is also home to southern California's largest free music festival, The Adams Avenue Street Fair, which has been happening for 38 years.
